SDL Auctions proud to support national conference’s theme of integrity

Thursday 31 January 2019

SDL Auctions has said it is proud to support the key themes of honesty and transparency at this year's NAEA Propertymark National Conference, by becoming a gold sponsor of the event.

The NAEA Propertymark National Conference, which is taking place on Thursday 14 February, will feature keynote speaker Security Minister Ben Wallace, who will provide an update on the government’s money laundering crackdown, announced last November.

Other speakers highlighting the importance of honesty will include Clive Robins, of the Competition and Markets Authority, and Jerry Walters, who has more than 20 years’ experience investigating and prosecuting complex and serious financial crime.

The themes of the event resonated strongly with SDL Auctions’ own values. Andrew Parker, Managing Director of SDL Auctions, said: “We have zero tolerance for unethical or underhand practices and so, with transparency at the heart of this year’s NAEA Propertymark National Conference, we were especially keen to show our support by becoming a gold sponsor.

“The property industry can get bad press but, in many cases, the bad reputation is undeserved. SDL Auctions operates to the highest standards of integrity and transparency which is one of the reasons we have become one of the UK’s largest and most successful property auctioneers.”

SDL Auctions is part of the wider SDL Group, which prides itself on three core values:

  • “Love our customers” – putting the customer at the heart of the experience and striving to make their lives easier.
  • “Make it better” – constantly working towards improvements.
  • “Dare to be different” – thinking outside the box to come up with new ways of working to evolve with the times.

Mark Bentley, President of NAEA Propertymark, said: “Agents are facing a tough year with political uncertainty impacting the housing market and an increased focus on economic crime. The National Conference provides a good opportunity for agents to learn from peers and to continue building their knowledge. We have an excellent line-up of speakers confirmed and are excited to welcome everyone in February.”

SDL Auctions will be exhibiting on stand number six at this year's NAEA Propertymark conference, so if you have your ticket, make sure to drop by.
