Andrew Morris makes a big splash at charity auction

Wednesday 11 October 2017

At a recent event, NAVA Propertymark auctioneer Andrew Morris put his auctioneering skills to great effect, successfully selling all 12 lots at The Crest Nicholson Fabulous Grand Pier charity ball, raising £29,000 for Variety, the children’s charity.

The Black Tie event was held on Weston-Super-Mare pier to an audience of 600 people, made up of Crest Nicholson staff, suppliers and contractors. The fundraising from the event is going towards buying Sunshine coaches, wheelchairs, specialist and sensory equipment for sick, disabled or disadvantaged children and young people.

The lots that Andrew sold included a trip to London Fashion Week, tickets to Wimbledon, a box at Ascot Races and a Sports Pack including tickets to Manchester United V Arsenal and England vs Australia Rugby.

Andrew who is more commonly used to auctioning houses, having done so for the past 50 years, commented, "It was a fantastic evening and an honour to be asked for the third time by Crest Nicholson to act as the auctioneer. The lots were fantastic but the total raised was even better; it means a big difference can be made to the everyday lives of children living with disabilities"

A spokesperson at Crest Nicholson said "Andrew did a wonderful job as our auctioneer and help make the evening a huge success.”
